Just days after releasing the first season of its latest original drama series Bloodline, Netflix has renewed the family thriller for a second season. The series, created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler (Damages), will go back into production later this year for a 2016 release in all Netflix territories.
In Bloodline, when the eldest brother and black sheep of the Rayburn family returns home, he exposes the emotional demons that lie at the core of the family, threatening to tear them apart. The drama, which launched to very strong reviews, stars Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Sam Shepard, Sissy Spacek, Norbert Leo Butz, Jamie McShane, Jacinda Barrett and Enrique Murciano. KZK Productions and Sony Pictures Television produce for Netflix.
The pickup of Bloodline means that all of Netflix’s original drama series have gone to a second season.
