Friday Night Lights alum Zach Gilford has been cast in ABC’s untitled drama pilot from Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal alumna Jenna Bans, Mandeville Prods. and ABC Studios. It follows the return of a politician’s young son, Adam Warren, who was presumed dead after disappearing over a decade earlier. But as the mysterious young man is welcomed back into his community, the neighbor sitting in jail for his murder is released and the cop responsible is forced to re-examine what truly happened so many years ago. Gilford, repped by Untitled Entertainment and WME, will play Adam’s self-destructive older brother. He recently starred in The Purge: Anarchy and USA pilot Stanistan.
Ed Oxenbould, the young star of Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, has been cast in ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot Chev & Bev, from Brad Copeland, Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios. It stars Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo as two baby boomers who are fun, relevant and living a selfish retirement when their world is turned upside down and they are suddenly left to raise their grandchildren. Australia-born Oxenbould, repped by Coast to Coast, ICM Talent, Industry Entertainment and Australia’s Sophie Jermyn Management, plays the oldest of the three grandchildren, a nerdy handsome amateur magician.
