There’s a new political player in town from some familiar faces. Stepping into territory long claimed by Andy Spahn among a few others, Paul Pflug and Melissa Zukerman’ s Principal Communications Group have partnered with consultant Lindsay Rachelefsky’s Sky Advisory Group. The team-up plans to offer political and philanthropic services from social soap to branding nuts to Hollywood and all ships at sea
“The worlds of philanthropy and local and national politics inevitably intersect and are inextricably linked together,” said the PR powerhouse PCG duo today. “As we go about our daily business we are finding an increased need to offer these related services to our current and future clients and thus it makes perfect sense to team up with Lindsay, who is among the best in her sector.”
With a wide array of clients from Marvel to Thomas Tull’s Legendary Pictures, Peter Chernin and Live Nation Entertainment, among others, PCG are not exactly newbies to political circles. For instance, both Chernin and Live Nation’s president and CEO Michael Rapino are major Democratic donors and have participated in big bucks fundraisers with President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for DNC aims.

It was working on an event at Rapino’s house last July when the President was in town for midterm election money that brought the trio of Pflug, Zukerman and Rachelefsky together. Heading into the 2016 election and the big role Tinseltown money is expected to play for Hillary or whoever the Democrat’s nominee is, the timing of today’s announcement couldn’t be better – giving the new partnership just enough time to get some traction.
A fundraising consultant, former SoCal ACLU Development Director Rachelefsky has had Obama For America, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Sen. Sherrod Brown, Sen. Kay Hagan and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen on her client rolodex. In the last election cycle, Rachelefsky worked with the DNC, Senate Majority PAC, and Wendy Davis’ campaign to be Governor of Texas. “Together, I believe we will help individuals to strategically and thoughtfully effect real change both politically and charitably,” said Rachelefsky of the new endeavor with PCG.
