Veteran Fox exec Missy Halperin has been promoted to EVP Talent Relations. In her newly expanded role, Halperin will continue to liaise with the network’s talent, as well as oversee the integration of talent into marketing campaigns, cross-network programming, charitable events and corporate initiatives. Joe Earley, COO, Fox Television Group, made the announcement today.
Halperin joined Fox shortly after its inception in 1989 under then-chairman Barry Diller, following a stint with HBO. She rose through the ranks to become the network’s senior-most talent relations executive, working with the casts of early Fox hits, such as 21 Jump Street, Married…With Children and Beverly Hills, 90210, and most recently Empire, Gotham, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, American Idol and Glee.
“One of our top priorities is to ensure that Fox is the very best home for talent, and Missy truly excels in that endeavor,” said Earley. “An unparalleled resource and partner to the incredible actors and producers who are part of the Fox family, our Talent Relations department also plays a vital role in our strategic marketing and programming efforts.”
