Hayes MacArthur (Go On, Perfect Couples) has joined TBS’ upcoming original comedy series Angie Tribeca as a regular with a one-year deal. MacArthur originally appeared as a guest star in the pilot. A satirical take on police procedurals, Angie Tribeca focuses on an eccentric but brilliant group of LAPD detectives who investigate crime, reveal way too much personal information and refuse to rest until justice has been served — sort of. The series stars Rashida Jones in the title role and was created by executive producers Steve and Nancy Carell. MacArthur will reprise his role as Jay Geils, the new police partner assigned to Angie Tribeca (Jones). I hear that in the pilot, Jay is involved in a potentially deadly accident. Needless to say, he is expected to survive (or that part of the pilot will be reshot). MacArthur will co-star alongside Jere Burns, Deon Cole and Andree Vermeulen. He is repped by CAA and Todd Rubenstein.
