The Throwaways, a movie which follows a hacker who uses his smarts to track down another cyber-attacker for the CIA, has had its release pushed by a month on Sony’s online video site Crackle. Deadline received confirmation. Sony Pictures TV had recently started promoting the film, however, decided the current atmosphere wasn’t proper given the corporation’s cyber-attack woes. Throwaways was originally scheduled to drop on Dec. 19. Sam Huntington plays the lead hacker in the film with James Caan and Kevin Dillion also starring. Jeremy Renner and Don Handfield are executive producing with Tony Bui directing.
