AMC has tapped veteran business affairs executive Rick Olshansky as head of business affairs. He is based in the network’s Los Angeles office and will report to AMC president Charlie Collier.
Olshansky succeeds Marci Wiseman, who earlier this year transitioned to a new role of executive-in-charge of owned content distribution and strategy for AMC Networks but has continued to run AMC business affairs during the search for her replacement.
Olshansky most recently served as a business affairs consultant with Microsoft Xbox Entertainment Studio, which recently shut down. From 2004 to 2009, he was EVP of television network and studio business affairs at NBCUniversal, leaving just before the merger with Comcast. Before that,Olshansky was head of business affairs for the Endeavor Talent Agency from 1999 to 2004.
