Selfie regular Da’vine Joy Randolph has been cast as a female lead in Vice Principals, HBO’s 18-episode comedy series from Eastbound & Down creators Danny McBride and Jody Hill. Also cast in the series, created by McBride and Hill, is Sheaun McKinney (Graceland). Vice Principals tells the story of a high school and the people who almost run it: the vice principals, one of them played by McBride. Randolph plays Dr. Belinda Brown, the confident & powerful new Principal at Lincoln High school. McKinney, repped by Tash Moseley Management and attorney Matt Rosen, plays Dayshawn, a cafeteria worker at Lincoln High, an easy going guy who’s friendly but a bit wary of the Vice Principals.
Randolph, repped byParadigm, Lighthouse Entertainment, and attorney Darrell Miller, was nominated for a Tony for her portrayal as Oda Mae Brown in Ghost the Musical.
