Edmund Kingsley is set for his first lead role in writer-director Andrew Martin’s debut feature Capsule. The son of Oscar winner Ben Kingsley will play an experienced fighter pilot who is in command of Britain’s first manned mission to space at the height of the Cold War. He ends alone in space with a malfunctioning capsule, limited contact with the UK, unusual communication with the U.S. and some unorthodox communication with Soviet Russia. The cast also includes Lisa Greenwood and Joseph Baird. The film is produced by Paul D. Forrest and executive produced by Mohammed Patel, Omar Qamar, Stuart Wilkins and Waseem Zaman. Kingsley’s credits include Hugo, Stonehurst Asylum and TV’s The Borgias and Endeavour. He is repped by Independent Talent Group.

Olivia Holt has joined Paramount’s faith-based drama Same Kind Of Different As Me. The Disney star will play Regan, the daughter of Renee Zellweger and Greg Kinnear in the film about the unlikely friendship between a wealthy art dealer struggling to save his crumbling marriage and a drifter living (Djimon Hounsou) on the streets. Holt stars on Disney Channel’s I Didn’t Do It and previously co-starred on Kickin’ It. Her credits also include Shake It Up! and the telefilm Girl Vs. Monster. She is repped by Paradigm, Principato Young Entertainment and Morris Yorn.
Youngster Ty Simpkins has added another major studio release to his resume following roles in Iron Man 3, Insidious, Revolutionary Road, Pride and Glory, and Little Children. He has joined the cast of Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling-led crime drama The Nice Guys, from Silver Pictures and Warner Bros. The Shane Black-directed tale is set in 1970s Los Angeles, where down on his luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired leg-breaker Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. Simpkins will play Bobby, a young boy whose shocking discovery sparks the mystery that the duo must solve. Simpkins also appears in Universal’s upcoming Jurassic World and the indie psychological drama Meadowland. He’s repped by ICM Partners and Ziffren, Brittenham, Branca, Fischer, Gilbert-Lurie, Stiffelman & Cook.
