We’ve known since the spring that the annual fundraiser held for a decade-plus at the Beverly Hills Hotel was pulling up stakes amid the boycotts that have hit that venue. Now sources confirm to Deadline that the Motion Picture Television Fund’s 2015 Night Before event is heading to the centrally located and spacious 20th Century Fox lot in Century City. The MPTF announced May 5 that it was moving the glitzy, star-studded charity event that Jeffrey Katzenberg made famous to a new location after the Sultan of Brunei — who owns the Dorchester Hotel group, which operates the Beverly Hills and Bel Air hotels — instituted harsh new laws against gays and women in his country. That move sparked a firestorm of protest in Hollywood, prompting lots of events to flee the property. The fund says the Night Before event has raised $60 million-plus since its 2003 launch for the MPTF’s charitable programs and services that reach more than 150,000 people each year.
