Fox has put in development a martial arts buddy procedural from The Cleaner creator Robert Munic and Fast & the Furious‘ Chris Morgan. The project reunites the duo who worked together on the Fox drama series Gang Related, executive produced by Morgan. Munic, who was a consulting producer on Gang Related, will be writing the untitled new project, about two estranged brothers, one a former Marine turned Shaolin master, and the other, a showboating, all-swagger Chicago cop, who come together in their hometown to form an unlikely law enforcement partnership. Munic and Morgan executive produce for Chris Morgan Productions and 20th Century Fox TV where Morgan’s company is based.
Munic, repped by Verve, Management 360 and attorney David Fox, serves as co-executive producer on TNT’s Murder In The First. He’s currently penning a biopic about the colorful Baltimore Colts owner Carroll Rosenbloom for Wonderland Sound and Vison and Crystal City, as well as the feature Double Take for Michael London with Katie Jacobs set to direct. The marks the third sale this season for Chris Morgan Prods., whose development outfit is run by Ainsley Davies. Morgan is repped by ICM Partners and attorney Jeff Frankel.
