TrustNordisk has presold upcoming dramedy project A Man Called Ove to Germany’s Concorde and Benelux’s September Film Distribution. The deals come a couple of days ahead of the AFM and were negotiated by TrustNordisk’s Susan Wendt. Directed and written for the screen by Hannes Holm, the project is based on the best-selling book by Fredrik Backman. A Man Called Ove is a heartfelt, poetic and humorous story about a grumpy old man who has given up on everyone including himself. His negative approach to the world is put to the test when a new family moves in next door. The book was released in Germany in August and remains on the best-seller list there. The film is produced by Annica Bellander for Tre Vänner and has a December 2015 domestic release set.
