ABC has officially ordered the Shark Tank spinoff Beyond The Tank, a companion series that will focus on what happens to entrepreneurs after they have struck deals with the sharks on the mothership show. Currently those types of updates and revisits are done as interstitials on the network’s Emmy-winning hit that airs Friday nights.

ABC will air the 10 episodes ordered for producers Sony Pictures TV and United Artists Media Group. No airdate for the companion series has been set.

The news surely will be well-received at CNBC, where Shark Tank reruns are by far that network’s most-watched shows in primetime as it continues to target non-news shows. (CNBC’s New Year’s Day marathon averaged more than 540,000 total viewers and 240,000 adults 25-54.) Most recently, CNBC added a version of Jay Leno’s online series Jay Leno’s Garage to air in 2015.

Mark Burnett, Clay Newbill and Phil Gurin are executive producers of both Shark Tank and Beyond The Tank.
