Real Housewives Of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice returned to their reality TV series’ network home today to be interviewed by Andy Cohen for Monday’s special Watch What Happens Live episode: One-On-One With Teresa And Joe. This comes a day after a federal judge sentenced the couple to time in the hoosegow on conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges.
Bravo will air the interview Monday at 9 PM ET.
Teresa, 42, was awarded 15 months in the slammer; hubby Joe, 43, got 41 months. After the sentencing, Cohen had re-tweeted a subdued message, urging viewers that “regardless of what your opinion is, have respect for @Teresa Giudice and her family.” This afternoon, he tweeted that he’d just finished interviewing the couple:
Their sentencing, in federal court in Newark, came nearly seven months after pleading guilty to multiple mortgage and bankruptcy fraud charges. Before the sentencing, Judge Salas recapped the discrepancies and omissions in their financial filings.
Back in March, when the couple entered their guilty pleas, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey recommended Teresa get 2.5 years behind bars and Joe nearly 4 years in prison. The couple has been on Real Housewives of New Jersey — the fourth in the Housewives franchise — since its launch more than five years ago.
The majority of the initial 39 charges in the Giudices’ July 2013 indictment, come from false income statements on loan and mortgage documents and failure to file tax returns. Most of the charges stemmed from incidents before their reality TV series debuted in May 2009, though some spilled into the show’s first two seasons.
