EXCLUSIVE: Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe is in negotiations to join the cast of Now You See Me 2, the sequel to the magician caper that conjured $351.7 million for Summit and Lionsgate last summer. Jon M. Chu is directing the sequel, which will return key Now You See Me cast members Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco. Also coming back for more magic is Michael Caine as the duped insurance magnate Arthur Tressler; Radcliffe will play his son.
Radcliffe is set to open his Alexandre Aja-directed fantasy-horror Horns for Halloween after tackling post-Potter roles in The Woman In Black and Kill Your Darlings. He’ll next appear in Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck and in Fox’s 2015 pic Frankenstein, playing Igor to James McAvoy’s Dr. Frankenstein. He’s repped by UTA and Artist Rights Group in the UK. Now You See Me 2 is dated for June 10, 2016.
