Following its strong second season premiere last week, USA Network’s breakout comedy reality series Chrisley Knows Best has been picked for a third season with a 12-episode order. Additionally, the network has ordered a holiday special to air this December.
Last Tuesday’s season 2 opener of Chrisley Knows Best at 10 PM hit series highs across the board — 1.3 million in adults 18-49 (+61% over S1 premiere) and 2.3M total viewers P2+(+76% over S1 premiere) in Live+3 rating.
Chrisley Knows Best has been a standout for USA since its launch earlier this year. The half-hour reality series is carrying the flag for USA’s comedy brand in light of the network’s recent strategy change that involves pulling away from original half-hour scripted comedies to focus on dramas. (USA remains committed to Denis Leary’s paramedic comedy Sirens, renewed for a second season, and the upcoming courtroom half-hour Benched.)
Chrisley Knows Best, produced by Maverick TV and All3Media America, follows the lives of Atlanta-based “Patriarch of Perfection” Todd Chrisley, and his colorful clan including his wife, five children and two grandchildren. Adam Greener, Stephanie Bloch Chambers, Jim Sayer, Eli Holzman and Stephen Lambert executive produce. “Viewers have embraced the Chrisleys for their witty one-liners, laugh-out-loud moments and heartfelt everyday situations,” said USA president Chris McCumber.
