Married acting couple Kevin Nealon (Weeds) and Susan Yeagley (Parks & Recreation) have sold a comedy to NBC. Written by the duo, the untitled half-hour project centers on a recently divorced couple who find themselves still tied to their close-knit family (and each other) through their jointly owned business – a bar off the Las Vegas Strip. Nealon and Yeagley have no acting deals in place but the intention is for Nealon to star and for Yeagley to play a supporting regular role. Both will co-executive produce.
SNL alum Nealon, repped by Gersh and Brillstein, also was a writer on NBC’s late-night show. Coming off a eight-season stint on Showtime comedy Weeds, he recently appeared in the Warner Bros. feature Blended. Yeagley, an alum of the Groundlings, has recurred on NBC’s Parks & Rec for six seasons. She is managed by Devon Jackson at Trademark Talent.
