Former MTV Networks and Machinima executive Cameron Saless has joined Jukin Media as executive vice president, heading audience development and strategic partnerships. Saless also was an exec with media site JibJab.
Saless will be focused on helping Jukin build audiences on the web, TV and other platforms for the licensed online video clips the company acquires, promotes and and licenses to other entertainment companies. He also will be charged with building new partnerships as outlets for the company’s library of thousands of viral video clips. The library generated 18 million views on YouTube in August, according to the company, and has been licensed to major outlets such as NBC, ABC, MTV, Yahoo! and AOL. The company’s owned-and-operated brands include FailArmy and JukinVideo.
The company also recently hired Josh Kreitzman, formerly of theAudience and Fremantle Media, as VP of Publishing and Programming, and Jeremy Gerstman, one of Fullscreen’s original employees, as VP of Operations.
