Grant Gish has been named VP Animation at 20th Century Fox Television, reporting to President of Creative Affairs Jonnie Davis. The studio has been without a senior animation executive since SVP Jennifer Howell left for Paramount TV last fall. 20th TV consolidated live-action and animated comedy under Davis in 2012. “Grant is a bright, talented executive who has been managing our hugely important animation development efforts, and this promotion recognizes the great work he’s been doing as we look to find that next big cartoon hit,” Davis said.
Since joining 20th TV in 2012, Gish helped develop Bob’s Burgers and the upcoming Bordertown, from Mark Hentemann and Seth MacFarlane, and he runs point on MacFarlane’s American Dad. He has projects in various stages of development from producers including Phil Lord & Chris Miller, the Wreck-It Ralph team of Phil Johnston & Rich Moore, and Ryan Reynolds. Gish came to the studio from Tom Werner’s Good Humor TV, where he worked on HBO’s animated series The Life & Times Of Tim and also helped develop Good Vibes.
