Among the dramas are The Returned, in which residents of a small mountain town grapple with the mysterious return of their dead loved ones; Acquitted, about a Norwegian businessman who returns to his native town 20 years after being acquitted of killing his high school sweetheart to find the past has not been forgotten; Blue, starring Julie Stiles as a young mother who works as an accountant by day and has a secret life as an escort by night; Suspects, which focuses on a team of three detectives and their distinctive approaches to the job of policing; and Lord And Master, which follows the crime-solving adventures of the rich and charismatic Valentijn Rixtus Bentinck. The comedies include Cuckoo, Birds Of A Feather, Web Therapy and Trollied.

Digital media company Endemol Beyond and digital video analytics leader Tubular Labs have announced a global partnership that allows Endemol Beyond to offer advanced technology to its talent and channel partners including KSI, Michelle Phan, MattyB and Pitbull to grow their digital video. The deal marks the first time a major digital video production company has collaborated with an insights and software provider that allows them to build brands and audiences in the multiple territories in which Endemol Beyond operates. “We win when our talent partners win.” said David B. Independent program distributor DCD Rights has sold three seasons of each of its reality series Bridezillas and Marriage Boot Camp to ITVBe, ITV’s new channel dedicated to lifestyle and entertainment programming. The series will air later this year on ITVBe, which launches in October. Said Sasha Breslau, ITV’s Head of Acquired Series, “These two series are just the right fit for our new channel, which will be the go to spot for brilliant and entertaining programs featuring real lives, and big characters.”
Dutch content creator Talpa is partnering with Tencent Holdings Limited, a leading provider of comprehensive Internet services in China, to develop a reality format for Tencent Video, the company’s online video platform. The show will launch in 2015. “It is our pleasure to cooperate with Talpa, one of the world’s leaders in TV program creation,” said Sy Lau, Senior EVP of Tencent and President of its Online Media Group. “We believe that our pioneering and win-win partnership will help meet the increasing demand of online video content in China, bringing more exciting viewing experiences to Chinese Internet users.”

Independent international distribution company Lineup Industries has signed a deal with RTL Nederland to represent global rights for a selection of formats. Titles include Holland’s Top Chef, Ultimate Dance Battle, Abducted and Wanted. “We have a catalogue of bold, entertaining and moving formats, and we are confident that they will achieve international success in the hands of Lineup Industries,” said Sven Sauvé, COO of RTL Nederland. “This partnership gives our content global reach, allowing these formats to capture the attention of a worldwide audience.”
