Myrl Schreibman has been named President of Production at Good Deed Entertainment. Schreibman joins the company with a background that includes producing and directing feature films, television and the Broadway stage. Feature credits include the Saturn Award-winning The Clonus Horror and Hunters Blood. Los Angeles-based GDE is run by Founder and CEO Scott Donley, President and COO Leonard Shapiro, and now Schreibman. Meanwhile, GDE says it has closed a domestic TV deal with Lifetime for its film Taken Away, which will premiere on LMN, targeting late fall. Directed, written and produced by Michael Feifer, Taken Away, about a young pregnant daughter of a U.S. senator, stars Chelsea Ricketts, Julie Warner and Michael Nouri.
