The premiere of the Disney Channel’s original movie How To Build A Better Boy clocked 4.6 million viewers Friday to rank as the night’s No. 1 cable telecast, also finishing first among kids 2-11 (2.5 million), kids 6-11 (1.9 million) and tweens (1.7 million). Its lead-out, freshman Girl Meets World, delivered its No. 2 telecast thus far, ranking as Friday’s second-most-watched cable telecast in total viewers (4.1 million), kids 2-11 (1.9 million), kids 6-11 (1.6 million) and tweens (1.5 million).
During its pre-linear television launch on the Watch Disney Channel app, How To Build A Better Boy generated more than 1 million video views over seven days, making it the app’s No. 1 event to date.
Build A Better Boy stars China Anne McClain (A.N.T. Farm) and Kelli Berglund (Lab Rats) as tech whizzes Mae and Gabby, who computer-program the perfect boy, which triggers a national incident.
