Dean Devlin’s #IceBucketChallenge Rocks Out With VFX Twist

Three weeks into the Internet meme gone mad known as the Ice Bucket Challenge, we’ve seen countless videos of people dumping ice water on their heads to raise awareness and money to fight ALS, the terrible and lethal degenerative disease. But few of the videos have been more amusing and unique than this one from film and TV producer Dean Devlin, whose long familiarity with visual effects on films such as Independence Day, Godzilla and Stargate no doubt informed this deceptively ordinary-looking backyard home video. By the way, Devlin called out Gerard Butler, Tim Hutton and Christian Kane for the challenge. Watch the video here:
