David Dastmalchian has signed on to play an unspecified role in Ant-man that Marvel is keeping under wraps. The actor’s character will join an ensemble headed by Paul Rudd. Dastmalchian most recently was seen in Prisoners and won the Courage in Filmmaking Award at this year’s 2014 SXSW Film Festival for writing and starring in Animals. He is repped by CESD, Principato Young Entertainment and Hansen Jacobson.
Tony-nominated actor David Harbour will play corrupt FBI agent John Morris in Warner Bros’ Whitey Bulger feature Black Mass starring Johnny Depp and directed by Scott Cooper. Morris, along with fellow FBI agent John Connolly, allowed Whitey to evade law enforcement and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history. Harbour has a recurring role on WGN”s upcoming Manhattan as rival scientist Reed Akley. He also will appear in the upcoming Liam Neeson feature A Walk Among The Tombstones , which opens September 19, and Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer opposite Denzel Washington out the following week. Harbour was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? opposite Kathleen Turner and Mireille Enos. Olivia Munn is strapping in for Universal’s Ride Along 2. The Newsroom and Magic Mike star joins returning leads Ice Cube and Kevin Hart in the cop-comedy sequel to this year’s $153M hit, which Tim Story is returning to helm. Munn stars in this week’s horror flick Deliver Us From Evil and appears opposite Johnny Depp in February’s Mortdecai.
