Fox finished first among broadcasters Monday night in both the demo (1.6/5) and total viewers (5.38 million), as well as teens and all adult male demos. Fueling that win: MasterChef (1.8/6, 5.09 million viewers) — the night’s biggest demo broadcast performer — and 24: Live Another Day (1.5/4, 5.66 million viewers). It was Fox’s fourth consecutive Monday demo win. MasterChef climbed 20% from last week’s fast nationals in the demo (1.5/5), while 24:LAD slid a tenth, week to week.
ABC slid in second for the night (1.4/4, 5.2 million viewers), with 8-10 PM’s The Bachelorette finishing first in primetime among total viewers (6.1 million) for a third consecutive two-hour telecast and topping all broadcasters with adults 18-34. The Bachelorette improved on its year-ago telecast by 11% in viewers (5.5 million), and was the night’s No. 1-ranked broadcast show for the night in all key female demos and among adults 18-34.
NBC’s repeat Last Comic Standing (0.9) produced nothing to crow about in the demo, after which the network’s 9-11 PM American Ninja Warrior (1.6/5 ) — while down a tick from previous week — dominated its second hour against original competition from both its closest competitor, ABC’s Mistresses (0.9) and CBS’ 48 Hours (0.8).
