Chris Selak, who has served as Lionsgate’s EVP Television since joining in 2011, has signed a new multi-year agreement to continue at the company. During her tenure she has overseen growth in the division spearheading productions like ABC’s Nashville and Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black, both recently renewed for third seasons, as well NBC’s miniseries Rosemary’s Baby and with Debmar-Mercury Charlie Sheen’s 10-90 FX comedy Anger Management. “Working with Chris is a joy,” said Lionsgate TV Group chairman Kevin Beggs in announcing the new deal. “Her keen eye for talent and material, her executive prowess, and the breadth and depth of her industry relationships have played a pivotal role in growing our television business, and we are looking forward to continued success together.”
In the works, Mad Men and Nurse Jackie producer Lionsgate TV has the WGN America drama series Manhattan premiering in July as well as the ABC Family drama series Chasing Life, E!’s first scripted series The Royals and another 10-90 sitcom, the Kelsey Grammer-Martin Lawrence starrer Partners. A third 10-90 project with Kevin James is in development as is the studio’s first animated pilot based on the Harold And Kumar movies.
Selak joined from John Wells Prods, where she oversaw ER and The West Wing and helped develop Showtime’s Shameless and Southland.
