ellenEllen DeGeneres continued breaking records with Monday’s live post-Oscar episode of syndicated daytime talker The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which became the highest-rated episode in the series’ 11-year history. The live episode, which included post-partying interviews with Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett, Best Supporting Actor Jared Leto and Best Supporting Actress Lupita Nyong’o, averaged a 4.8 household rating/11 share in the overnight markets —  a full ratings point higher than the series’ previous high of 3.8, earned a decade ago.  The episode was the highest-rated with women 18-49 (2.1/11) and women 25-54 (2.7/13) in the Local People Meters era (which began in the 2008-2-09 season).

DeGeneres made history the night before when her celebrity-studded Oscar selfie became the most re-tweeted in history, temporarily shutting down Twitter. On Monday’s talk show, Samsung announced it was donating $1 for every re-tweet of DeGeneres’ selfie. DeGeneres set other records across the daytime talk show’s social media channels following her Oscar-hosting duties; as of today, Ellen has nabbed more than 13M Facebook likes, with 500K new likes over the past two days according to Facebook Insights. And, on Facebook today, the show ranks the No. 1 fastes- growing television show page, No. 1 most-engaging, likes and No. 10 fastest growing pages, overall. The record-breaking selfie has been retweeted 3.14M times to become a most-ever — a Twitter record previously held by @BarackObama with 782K retweets. Ellen added 2.7M new followers after the tweet, making for a total of 27.4M Twitter followers. And, @TheEllenShow currently ranks the No. 12 Twitter user with the most followers.

Also during Monday’s broadcast, DeGeneres handed Oscar night pizza delivery man Edgar Martirosyan the $600 in tips she collected for him during the show and added another $400 from her pocket. That “Oscar Pizza Guy Gets His Tip” video is currently trending No. 1 on YouTube (check it out below). Samsung’s selfie donation, meanwhile, is being split between two charities of Ellen’s choice: St. Jude Children’s Hospital and The Humane Society of the United States.
