Ragin’ cajun James Carville has a new home at Fox New Channel as an on-air contributor. “James’ successful and storied career in politics over several decades is an enormous asset to Fox News,” said Fox New Channel Programming VP Bill Shine today of the longtime political pundit who helped get Bill Clinton elected in 1992. “We are privileged to have him lend his breadth of experience, wit and dynamic perspective on the network,” Shine added. Carville has been on Fox News several times, including Tuesday on The Kelly File. The move to FNC comes over a year after Carville exited CNN,
Carville and his wife, GOP operative Mary Matlin, left CNN in January 2013 after the cable news network wanted the New Orleans resident to be closer to Washington DC. A staunch Democrat, Carville was one of the co-hosts of CNN’s Crossfire from 2002-2005. He joins another ex-CNNer at Fox News: In June longtime Reliable Sources host Howard Kurtz shifted to FNC where his MediaBuzz constantly outperforms his old show.
