Filming is scheduled to start in mid-March on the Phyllis Nagy penned adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novella The Price Of Salt. Kyle Chandler and Sarah Paulson also star. Smith appears in Sundance pic Camp X Ray opposite Kristen Stewart and the upcoming HBO mini Olive Kitteridge opposite Frances McDormand. He is repped by Paradigm and Circle of Confusion.
Penelope Mitchell (The Vampire Diaries, Hemlock Grove) has landed a role in director Chris Fitchett’s supernatural thriller The Fear of Darkness. Production is set to begin next month on the Gold Coast. Greenlight Releasing will distribute the pic in Australia in 2015, with Arclight Films handling international sales. Mitchell recently wrapped shooting a supporting role in the Blumhouse feature Curve. She is repped by APA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and JM Agency in Australia.
