Untitled Cedric Yarborough (Reno 911) is set as a regular in Fox‘s half-hour pilot Dead Boss, from Warner Bros TV and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. An adaptation of the BBC3 series created by Sharon Horgan and Holly Walsh, Dead Boss is a comedic mystery that finds overachiever Helen Stephens (Jane Krakowski) wrongfully convicted of murdering her boss and forced to rely on her train wreck of a sister to prove her innocence. Yarborough, repped by Principato-Young, plays Tony, Helen’s good-natured, but schlumpy lawyer.The pilot was written by Patricia Breen who is executive producing with Horgan and Kaplan.

It centers on Anna, an investigative journalist who will stop at nothing to uncover the truth including making questionable alliances. Holt, repped by D2 Management and Innovative Artists, plays Jill, a managing editor at the magazine, she wants Anna to look into the whistle blower story and is somewhat irked when Anna declines. Pascal, with Innovative Artists and Authentic, plays Oscar, Anna’s boyfriend, who’s frustrated Anna is unwilling to take their relationship to the next level. De Jersey plays Elvis, a once great rock critic, now West Coast political editor.

UPDATED: Hampton Fluker and Justina Machado have booked series regular roles in ABC’s justina1flukermedical drama pilot Warriors from writer Chris Keyser, Mandeville TV and ABC Studios. Inspired by the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, Warriors follow the best and brightest active-duty military doctors and nurses as they practice trailblazing medicine. Machado, repped by APA and Danielle Dell at D2 Management, will play Anna, the chief surgical scrub nurse for Dr. George Mann (Don Hany), who is impervious to his teasing but not his bad jokes. Fluker, with Gersh and TGE, will play Army Corporal Marlon Jones who is wounded in Afghanistan by an IED attack and is brought to Walter Reed for his care.
