UPDATE 2:30 PM: The Sing-Off finale was adjusted up a tenth to a 1.4 in the finals. It is now 13% down from last year. ABC’s The Great Christmas Light Fight, Shrek The Halls and A Chipmunk Christmas all were adjusted down a tenth.
PREVIOUS 8:50 AM: The finale of NBC’s The Sing-Off from 8-10 PM last night drew a 1.3 in adults 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers overall. It was down 35% in the demo from last Monday (but up 8% from Thursday) and down 19% from its most recent Season 3 finale in 2011 to mark the singing series’ lowest rated closer. At 10 PM, a holiday edition of Hollywood Game Night managed a 1.0 and 3.4 million, even in the demo with the August Season 1 finale. (the alternative series returns for a second season next month.) The ratings for ABC and CBS were inflated due to NFL pre-emptions in big markets (Atlanta, ABC and San Francisco, CBS), so expect downward adjustments in the finals. For now, ABC’s Shrek The Halls (1.2) is running +20% ahead of last year’s airing and A Chipmunk Christmas (1.2) +140% over last year. The finale of ABC’s holiday short-form series The Great Christmas Light Fight (1.4) from 9-11 PM in currently up 40% from last week. CBS, Fox and the CW aired all reruns.
