eOne Films EVP Charlotte Mickie To Exit In January
Entertainment One said today that Charlotte Mickie, EVP of eOne Films International, is leaving the company in mid-January. She joined eOne in 2008 when the company acquired Maximum Films, where she served as Managing Director. Before Maximum, Mickie was Managing Director of Celluloid Dreams, where she handled films by directors including Hirokazu Koreeda, François Ozon, the Dardenne brothers and Michael Haneke. During her stint at eOne, Mickie was responsible for the international acquisition, marketing and sales of films including Incendies, Animal Kingdom and Beasts Of The Southern Wild.

DCD Rights Sells ‘Mr & Mrs Murder’, ‘A Moody Christmas’ To UK TV
DCD Rights has secured UK deals for a pair of series. Channel 5 has acquired the Australian drama series Mr & Mrs Murder to air next year, and Sky Living will bring the six-part series A Moody Christmas to British TV this holiday season. Mr & Mrs Murder, produced by FremantleMedia Australia and Bravado Productions, stars Shaun Micallef and Kat Stewart as crime-scene cleaners whose unique quirks and talents solve the most baffling cases. A Moody Christmas, which also has sold to U.S. streaming service Hulu, focuses on Christmas Day for the seasonally dysfunctional Moody family. Each episode is set a year apart. It stars Ian Meadows and Patrick Brammall. A U.S. adaptation has a put pilot commitment at Fox with Doug Elin executive producing.

British Telecom Seals Deal To Carry Sony Entertainment Television
Sony Pictures Television Networks has sealed its first carriage deal with British Telecom for the general entertainment channel Sony Entertainment Television. From next week, BT subscribers will be offered Sony Entertainment Television through the BT TV “Entertainment” and “Unlimited Extra” packages. The channel airs such series as Will And Grace, Life On Mars and Community and feature films including Seven Years In Tibet, Master And Commander.

Determined to gatecrash her ex-husband’s funeral at a glamorous French hideaway, a former Hollywood siren (Joan Collins) escapes her London old-folks home with the help of Priscilla (Pauline Collins), a repressed English housewife stuck in a bad marriage. The unlikely partners in crime team up on a journey that will change their lives forever. Franco Nero co-stars in the film, which sold to Lionsgate in the UK, IFC Films in the U.S., eOne in Canada and 15 other territories. Sarah Sulick produced the Bright Pictures film, with Tim Rice as executive producer.
