Edie Falco and Alec Baldwin have always received a lot of love from their peers, and that helped them to get in the SAG Awards record books this morning, surpassing David Hyde Pierce’s record for most career SAG nominations — 19. Falco tied Pierce’s haul last year and today nabbed her 20th SAG nomination in the actress in a comedy series category for Showtime’s Nurse Jackie. Meanwhile, Baldwin added two more SAG nominations for NBC’s 30 Rock (actor in a comedy series, comedy ensemble) to also hit the 20-nomination mark. Falco is the most nominated TV performer in SAG Awards history as all of her nominations are on the TV side. (Baldwin’s 20 noms include TV and film performances). Falco has won five Actors — three individual and two ensemble — for HBO’s The Sopranos. Baldwin has won eight for 30 Rock, a staggering seven individual and one ensemble. While 30 Rock has ended its run, Nurse Jackie will return in 2014, giving Falco a chance at setting a new SAG Awards record next year.
