EXCLUSIVE: Corsan NV has made a deal with financier/producer Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films that will see Corsan invest $125 million in EFO slate films that include the Martin Scorsese-directed Silence, the Bruce Willis-starrer Expiration, the Vin Diesel-starrer The Last Witch Hunter, Scorsese’s The Irishman and the Baltasar Kormakur-directed Everest.

The funding alliance was made by Randall Emmett and George Furla with Corsan NV CEO Paul Breuls. The first film is Everest, which starts production in November and which is being produced by Working Title and released domestically by Universal. The film will star Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Corsan president of International Sales Pascal Borno and Alain Gillissen have begun selling international territories here at Toronto on Expiration, which begins production January with Willis starring. Next to go into production will be Last Witch Hunter, with Breck Eisner directing Diesel and Lionsgate releasing. Production will begin in March.

“We are excited about this long-term arrangement with Paul and Corsan,” Emmett said. “Paul is a great partner and we are thrilled to be making these films together.” Paradigm repped Corsan N.V. in the funding deal with Martin Barab and Craig Emanuel repping Emmett/Furla.

EFF is coming off the Universal Pictures release 2 Guns with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg and follows with the Sylvester Stallone/Arnold Schwarzenegger-starrer Escape Plan, which Summit releases October 18. Right after that is the Peter Berg-directed Navy SEAL tale Lone Survivor, which Universal releases in December. EFOF has the TV series Saf3 coming through Tribune Entertainment, and premieres Power on Starz next year.

Corsan is in Toronto with the Paul Haggis-directed Third Person, which stars Liam Neeson, Adrien Brody and James Franco, which is being sold for domestic rights by Paradigm and CAA. Corsan follows with the Lee Tamahori-directed Emperor, Confessions Of An Economic Hitman and the Paul Breuls-directed Chet Baker biopic Prince Of Cool.
