Charlie Rose scored his news coup today in Damascus, where Syrian President Bashar Assad sat for an interview that will air Monday – the same day President Obama‘s recorded interviews with six major networks will unspool. It will mark Assad’s first interview with a U.S. network since 2011. Excerpts of the interview will air Monday on CBS This Morning and then across all CBS News platforms before being broadcast in full on Rose’s PBS show Charlie Rose Monday night. Rose previewed his Assad convo Sunday morning on CBS’s Face The Nation.
