NBC took Tuesday with America’s Got Talent, coming in 69% ahead of the night’s No. 2-ranked telecast, Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Dance climbed 8% compared to last week in the demo (1.3 rating) and 5% in viewers (4 million). Talent was flat in the demo (2.2 rating) to tie its lowest Tuesday telecast on record, but up a tick in viewers (8.531 million).
At 8 PM, Dance was tops in the demo (1.3 rating) and CBS’ NCIS rerun clocked the most viewers (8.2 million). At 8:30 PM, Dance grew (1.4 rating), as did NCIS (8.6 million). Worth noting: the CW’s Whose Line Is It Anyway? scored a 0.9 rating in the demo in the hour and 2.2 million viewers. At 9 PM, Talent took over (1.9 rating, 7.9 million viewers), and grew at 9:30 (2.0, 8.4 million viewers) and 10 (2.4 rating, 8.89 million viewers) but slipped slightly at 10:30 (2.3 rating, 8.87 million).
NBC finished primetime with a 1.8 rating and 7 million viewers, followed most closely by Fox’s 1.3 rating in the demo. CBS’ NCIS franchise rerun lineup averaged 6.5 million viewers overall.
