Mimi Rogers has joined the untitled Screen Gems and Miramax wedding comedy from first time director Jeremy Garelick. The cast of the film about a guy who rents himself out as a best man and the groom-to-be who desperately hires him already includes Kevin Hart, Josh Gad, and The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco. Rogers, who had a guest run on Two And a Half Men last year and who was recently added to the thriller The Surface, plays the mother to high maintenance bride-to-be Couco’s character. Rogers is repped by Paradigm and Silver Lining Entertainment.

David Clennon has been added to David Fincher’s Gone Girl with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike. Clennon will play Rand Elliot, the father of a missing woman, played by Pike, who begins to suspect his son-in-law as the investigation into his daughter’s disappearance grows and her absence lingers. The film is an adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s bestseller about a husband whose wife goes missing on their fifth anniversary. Former thirtysomething star Clennon also has a role in the upcoming second season of Netflix’s House Of Cards. He is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency.

Off an appearance in Warner Bros’ Man Of SteelRichard Schiff has joined a trio of films. The former West Wing star will play a Washington Post editor who discredits journalist Gary Webb’s work on CIA drug smuggling in Kill The Messenger. Jeremy Renner plays Webb with Ray Liotta and Gary Pepper co-starring. Schiff will also be in the Matt Sobel-directed Explosion where he plays Don, the father to the wrongly accused teen Ryder in the family drama. Lastly, Schiff will be in the comedy The Automatic Hate directed by Justin Lerner about a Yale Prof, played by Schiff, who kept one one of his sons hidden for decades from another son. The film is being produced by Alix Madigan/Anonymous Content. Schiff is repped by Leverage and IFA Talent.

Less than a week after joining Charlize Theron in Dark Places, Tye Sheridan has now been added to the heist pic The Forger with John Travolta. Sheridan plays the ailing son that Travolta buys his way out of prison to be with – before things take another turn. Sheridan made his feature debut in Terrence Malik’s 2011’s Tree Of Life, has been in Mud with Matthew McConaughy and is set to co-star with Nic Cage in Joe. Sheridan is repped by Mosaic and WME.
