Mike Colter has been added to the cast in CBS’ drama pilot Surgeon General. which centers on Dr. John Sherman (Jason Isaacs), the most powerful doctor in the nation, the Surgeon General, who has 315 million patients. Colter, repped by Gersh, plays Dr. McCallan, the epidemiologist on Sherman’s staff. He recurs on The Good Wife and The Following and was recently in Zero Dark Thirty.

James Earl (TBS’ Glory Days, Fox’s Glee) and Upright Citizens Brigade writer/performer Rene Gube have been cast in TBS‘ comedy pilot Ground Floor. Written by Bill Lawrence and Greg Malins and directed by Gail Mancuso, Ground Floor is set in the world of corporate America and takes the Romeo and Juliet story to the office. It centers on Harvard grad Brody (Skylar Astin), who falls hard for feisty and intelligent maintenance supervisor Jennifer (Briga Heelan), whose education ended after high school. Earl, repped by Allegory Creative Management and Untitled, plays Derrick, a laid-back guy who works with Jennifer on the ground floor. Gube, repped by Principato Young and CAA plays Threepeat, a money manager with “super-gelled hair”. He most recently was on the writing staff of Up All Night.
