The Wire’s Paul Ben-Victor has a busy few months ahead of him. The seasoned actor, who once played the Three Stooges’ Moe in a 2000 TV movie about the trio and also played a vindictive studio chief in HBO’s Entourage, has signed on for a four episode stint on CBS’s freshman series Vegas. Ben-Victor will once again play an arrogant Hollywood mogul. His character’s name this time is Barry Silver in the 1960s-set drama with Dennis Quaid and Michael Chikilis. Ben-Victor will also be back on the big screen with Robert DeNiro and Sylvester Stallone in Grudge Match. In the film about two old boxers lured back into the ring for one last bout, Ben-Victor will play the role of Lou Camare, a well connected fight promoter. Ben-Victor is repped by APA and Leverage.
Dominik Garcia-Lorido will be starring opposite Jason Statham in the upcoming Heat. The Magic City actress will play the female lead role of Holly in the Simon West-directed and William Goldman penned film. Her character is the ex-girlfriend of Statham’s Nick Escalante who turns to the good-hearted Las Vegas enforcer for help when she is violently beaten. The movie starts filming in New Orleans and Vegas in April. Garcia-Lorido is repped by Paradigm, McKeon-Myones Management and Underground.
Australian actor and singer Tom Budge has signed on to the thriller Son of A Gun. Budge will play a bully in the crime indie film opposite Brenton Thwaites and Ewan McGregor. Son of A Gun is directed and written by Julius Avery. The actor has previously appeared in Larry Crowe with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts as well in HBO’s The Pacific miniseries. Budge is repped by APA, Cohn/Torgan Management and Helen Pandos in Australia.
