All3Media, Britain’s largest independent TV production group, is launching All3Media America, an U.S. production hub based in Los Angeles to be run Eli Holzman as president and Stephen Lambert as chairman.

All3 Media has had presence in the U.S. via Studio Lambert USA, the Los Angeles-based offshoot of Stephen Lambert’s UK company Studio Lambert, which All3Media had backed, and All3Media’s Lion TV (Cash Cab) and Optomen (Hotel Hell, Kitchen Nightmares). But the company, which has scripted and non-scripted production companies in the UK, Germany and New Zealand, had been looking to set up a centralized U.S. outpost. Instead of building infrastructure from the ground-up, the company opted to use that of Studio Lambert USA, producer of such series as CBS’ Emmy-winning Undercover Boss, AMC’s The Pitch and Lifetime’s upcoming Supermarket Superstars. As part of its original deal with Studio Lambert that provided initial capital for the company when Lambert launched it in 2008, All3Media had an option to buy the company out 6 years later. All3Media has accelerated that process, buying Studio Lambert now, four years into the agreement. Studio Lambert USA, which was run by Holzman, will cease to exist, while the mothership Studio Lambert UK will remain as a standalone All3Media-owned production company where Lambert will continue to create unscripted formats the way he did with Undercover Boss among others. In the U.S., in addition to Studio Lambert formats, All3Media America will be able to mine formats originating from 9 other companies under the All3Media global umbrella. Holzman and Lambert will report to All3Media Group CEO Farah Ramzan Golant. “All3Media companies have already enjoyed considerable success in America with hits such as Undercover Boss, Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell,” Golant said. ” Now we are bringing our multi-genre, award winning creative companies in our group to the US market and supporting them with a high quality, fully-resourced production capability.”

In their previous top posts at Miramax TV, which Holzman founded, and RDF Media, Holzman and Lambert created long-running reality series Project Runway and Wife Swap, respectively. All3Media’s companies with U.S. presence include New York-based Lion Television (Money From Strangers, Cash Cab, History Detectives), Optomen (Scorned: Love Kills, Worst Cooks in America, Mysteries at the Museum) as well as Optomen’s joint venture with Gordon Ramsay, One Potato, Two Potato (Hotel Hell) and Zoo (Speeders, Family Game Night). They will continue their operations, collaborating with All3Media America on the West Coast as opportunities arise.

Bentley (UK, Midsomer Murders), Company Pictures (UK, Skins), ID-TV (Netherlands, Who is The Mole?), Lime (UK, The Only Way is Essex, Hollyoaks, House of Anubis, Geordie Shore), Maverick (UK, Embarrassing Bodies) MME (Germany, Families At The Crossroads, Berlin – Day & Night), North One (UK, The Gadget Show), Objective (UK, Undercover Princes, Derren Brown, Peep Show), Studio Lambert (UK, Undercover Boss, Four in a Bed) and South Pacific Pictures (New Zealand, Shortland Street, Outrageous Fortune, The Almighty Johnsons, The Blue Rose) will now produce their US programming through All3Media America.

All3Media America will continue to be represented by ICM and All3Media International will distribute internationally. Nancy Tellem continues to be All3Media Group’s US based non-executive director.
