The live Season 3 finale of NBC’s The Voice (4.9/13) last night was a finale and season high for the singing competition show. With Cassadee Pope declared the winner, the conclusion to the show’s first fall season was up 11% from The Voice’s Season 2 finale on May 8. With an audience of 14 million watching the 9-11 PM broadcast, Tuesday night’s Voice was also up 18% from the previous finale in total viewers; the two-hour Season 2 ender pulled in 11.926 million viewers and a 4.4/12. The one-hour Season 1 finale, which aired on June 29, 2011, earned a 3.7/13 rating and 11.046 million viewers. On Tuesday, NBC ran a Voice (2.4/7) repeat at 8 PM before the live finale.
On CBS, all three of the network’s dramas were up from last week. NCIS (3.3/10) grew by 18% from last week’s season low and was the night’s most-watched show with 19.41 million viewers. NCIS: LA (2.9/8) was up 12% from its season low last week, and Vegas (1.6/4) rose 7% from its first-season low.
CBS won Tuesday in total viewers, while NBC was tops in adults 18-49.
Fox ran all repeats Tuesday with Raising Hope (1.0/3), Ben And Kate (0.8/2), New Girl (0.8/2) and The Mindy Project (0.6/2). On ABC, it was a Charlie Brown Christmas (1.7/5) at 8 PM. The holiday special was down a slim 6% from its December 15, 2011 airing. Happy Endings (1.3/4) was up 8% from last week, with Don’t Trust The B—- In Apt 23 (1.1/3) rising 10% from its December 11 show. Private Practice (1.2/3) was flat with last week.
