UPDATE, 12:45 PM: The CW officially announced the Cycle 20 renewal of America’s Next Top Model for summer, which will feature a twist — for the first time, male models will be added to the group of contestants competing for the title. The change comes on the heels of veteran game show Price Is Right‘s recent decision to introduce male models.

EXCLUSIVE UPDATED: The CW‘s America’s Next Top Model will mark its 20th cycle in the summer. I hear the network has given the veteran reality series an order for another season. It will air next summer, which is where the series first launched in 2003 on the CW predecessor UPN. The unscripted series has since aired in-season, with fall and spring cycles.

America’s Next Top Model had previously been picked up through the current College edition, which features a revamped judging panel and airs in a new time slot, Fridays at 8 PM. America’s Next Top Model is produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment in association with The Tyra Banks Co. Ken Mok, Tyra Banks and Laura Fuest Silva executive produce the series, created and hosted by Banks, and developed by Mok and Kenya Barris.
