Levity Entertainment Group is shortening its name to LEG. The company also has signed with WME. The moves come five months after Norm Aladjem took the reins of the multi-division company following an eight-year tenure at Paradigm where he chaired that agency’s management committee. “LEG boasts an impressive portfolio of media assets after only six years, combining production, a digital agency, talent management, and several dozen venues of comedy clubs and restaurants” said Aladjem. “The company has enormous growth potential and WME is the perfect partner to help us expand our brand exponentially.” LEG is currently in production on eight unscripted television series, including the Iron Chef franchise, Next Food Network Star, Gabe Iglesias’ Stand Up Revolution and The Ben Show on Comedy Central, Syfy’s Dream Machines and CMT’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.  The company recently tapped former Bunim/Murray executive Saul Friedman as VP of program development.

LEG also is entering the scripted arena as a producer with two half-hour projects: a comedy at CBS starring Maz Jabrani with The Tannenbaum Co. and CBS TV Studios and a half-hour to star Sebastian Maniscalco in partnership with Sony TV and Lakeshore TV. LEG’s management division’s client roster includes top touring comedian Jeff Dunham and Amy Schumer, the star and executive producer of the upcoming Comedy Central series Inside Amy. LEG’s Digital Network, called Sideshow, is approaching 1MM podcast downloads per month.
