OWN had a good weekend and it wasn’t all thanks to Oprah Winfrey. The two-night series premiere of Iyanla: Fix My Life was OWN’s top debut since the network went on air in January 2011. The Season 2 premiere of Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s on Saturday at 9 PM brought that reality show a series high. Meanwhile, the Winfrey-starring shows Super Soul Sunday and Oprah’s Next Chapter also saw big gains during the weekend.
Featuring life coach Iyanla Vanzant, Fix My Life’s 10 PM Saturday show earned a 1.18 rating in the women 25-54 demo and 1.1 million total viewers. That was second in the demo for its time period among all ad-supported cable networks behind ABC Family’s airing of The Blind Side. Sunday’s broadcast of Fix My Life got a 1.73 in the demo and pulled in 1.6 million total viewers, the third-highest-rated show of the night in the time slot on ad-supported cable networks and the top-rated show among black viewers among women 25-54 and women 18-49. Fix My Life will regularly air Saturdays at 10 PM after Welcome To Sweetie Pie‘s, whose Saturday return earned a 0.88 rating in the demo and 932,000 total viewers, up 450% and 521%, respectively, compared with last year’s series debut.

Airing before Fix My Life on Sunday, Oprah’s Next Chapter’s interview with singer Usher got a 1.72 demo rating and 1.5 million viewers, up 1333% in the demo and 827% among total viewers from a year ago.
