EXCLUSIVE: In his first stab at development under his overall deal with ABC Studios, former The Office head writer Daniel Chun has sold two single-camera comedy projects, one to Fox and one to ABCNo Worries, which has received a script commitment plus penalty at Fox, centers on a serious man eager to settle down who realizes that his brother and everyone else his age is pushing off adulthood as long as possible. Chun’s ABC project is an untitled family show about an immigrant mother and her two grown-up, Americanized children who must learn to work together when they open a restaurant with the last of their money.

Under his pact with ABC Studios, which started in the summer, Chun also serves as a consulting producer on the ABC comedy Happy Endings, which is co-produced by Sony TV and ABC Studios. Chun, repped by UTA and Price Management, most recently served as co-executive producer/head writer on NBC’s Office and made his directing debut with an episode of the Emmy-winning comedy last spring. The Harvard grad segued to The Office after a six-year stint on The Simpsons. On the feature side, he is writing Guinness Book Of World Records for Warner Bros.
