CBS‘ reality mainstay Big Brother brushed off a challenge from ABC’s similarly themed The Glass House to deliver another solid ratings performance and earn a renewal. CBS has picked up the voyeuristic unscripted series for a 15th cycle to air next summer. This summer’s edition, which concludes tonight with a 90-minute finale, is averaging 6.8 million viewers, 2.5/8 in adults 18-49.

Big Brother, which premiered in 2000, spans multiple platforms, with full-length episodes and highlight clips available at and across the CBS Audience Network, and 24/7 streaming video from inside the Big Brother house made available by CBS and RealNetworks. Companion program Big Brother: After Dark airs on Showtime 2. Big Brother is hosted by Julie Chen and executive produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol USA.
