The 2012 NBA Finals ended last night with the Miami Heat defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5. Lebron James finally kept his promise to bring a championship to Miami but in fast nationals, last night’s NBA Finals Game 5 (6.4/9) was flat with last year’s Game 5 (6.3/17) between the Heat and the Dallas Mavericks. The Game was still the winner of the night, bringing in 15.521 million overall viewers. The 2011 Game 5 was not the series-decider as last night’s, that came in Game 6 between Miami and Dallas, which drew 8.6/22. As the opening act for Game 5 last night, Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night got (2.4/9) and the 8:30 PM NBA Countdown got (3.5/12)
ABC won the night among Adults 18-49 and in overall audience with 12.914 million viewers.
Over on NBC, it was a case of second verse kind of same as the first. The second night of the Justin Bieber: All Around The World (0.8/3) was down a tenth from Wednesday’s 0.9/3. The singer’s special drew a total viewership of 3.1 million, down from Wednesday night’s 3.3. million. Bieber was followed by new episode of Saving Hope (0.5/2) which dropped 29% form last week. Rock Center With Brian Williams (0.8/2) was flat with last week.
Fox double dated last night. It was Take Me Out (1.2/4) first. The George Lopez-hosted dating show was up 9% from last week. That was followed at just before 9 PM the celebrity dating series The Choice (1.5/5) Thursday’s episode, where host Cat Deeley helped American Idol’s Taylor Hicks, basketball player Warren Sapp and Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino look for love was down one-tenth of a point from last week. CBS had a night of repeats with The Big Bang Theory (2.2/8), 2 Broke Girls (2.1/7), Person of Interest (1.4/4) and The Mentalist. (1.1/3)
