Another actor from a bubble series is joining a pilot. Mercedes Masohn, female lead of The Finder, Fox’s modestly rated Bones spinoff, has joined the cast of ABC’s drama pilot 666 Park Avenue. Also cast in the project, based on the Alloy book series by Gabriella Pierce, is Robert Buckley. 666 Park Avenue centers on a young couple (Rachael Taylor, Dave Annable) who accept an offer to manage one of the most historic apartment buildings in New York City. Unwittingly, they begin to experience supernatural occurrences that complicate and endanger the lives of everyone in the building. Masohn, repped by Greene & Assoc. and Luber/Roklin, and Buckley will play a married couple that lives in the building, playwright Brian and photographer Louise.
Carmen Ejogo is set to co-star opposite Anthony Edwards in ABC’s drama pilot Zero Hour. The ABC Studios project, written and executive produced by Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring, centers on Hank Foley (Edwards) who, after spending 20 years as the editor of Modern Skeptics magazine, becomes involved in one the most compelling conspiracies in human history when his wife is kidnapped. Ejogo, repped by IFA Agency, will play the FBI agent investigating the kidnapping who may have her own agenda. Ejogo will next be seen in the features Sparkle and Alex Cross.
In another ABC pilot casting, Ken Marino (Party Down) has landed the male lead opposite Judy Greer in ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot American Judy, which centers on Judy (Greer), a cosmopolitan woman who gets married and becomes a fish out of water in the suburbs having to juggle stepkids, her mother-in-law (Mimi Kennedy) and the ex-wife (Elaine Hendrix) of her husband (Marino), who also happens to be the town sheriff. Also cast in the pilot is Eric Ash as Judy’s friend.
