Scott Wolf (V) has been cast in in the CW drama pilot Joey Dakota. Based on the Israeli format Danny Hollywood, the romantic-time-travel-musical centers on Maya (Amber Stevens), a documentary filmmaker making a film about Joey Dakota, a rock star who met an untimely death in the 1990s. She travels back in time to the 1990s where she meets and falls in love with Joey and when she unexpectedly returns to present day, she must find her way back to the past to reunite with her love and prevent his death. Wolf, repped by UTA and The Collective, will play the mysterious Franklin, who seems to know a lot about Maya’s situation, may have been dabbling with time travel himself, and could be the key to Maya’s returning to the past and the man she loves.
Zak Orth have been cast in NBC’s JJ Abrams/Eric Kripke drama pilot Revolution, directed by Jon Favreau. The high-octane action drama follows a group of people struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. Orth will play Aaron, a brilliant scientist left in in a world where physics no longer follows the same rules.
Danish actor Ulrich Thomsen (The Thing) has been added to Banshee, Cinemax’s upcoming action drama series executive produced by Alan Ball and exec produced/directed by Greg Yaitanes. The 10-episode series, written by authors Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler, centers on Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), an ex-convict and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, PA, where he continues his criminal activities even as he’s being hunted by the shadowy gangsters he had betrayed years earlier. Thomsen, repped by Greene & Assoc. & Sanders-Armstrong-Caserta, will play Proctor, an intimidating, wealthy local businessman who believes he is above the law.
