Finally, all five English-language broadcast networks had their spring Tuesday lineups in originals last night. CBS came out of the skirmish victorious, winning the night in 18-49 (2.8/8) and total viewers (14.5 million). It was once again paced by NCIS (3.4/10 in 18-49, 18.2 million viewers), which was the top program of the night in 18-49 and total viewers. It was up a tenth in the demo from last week’s fast national, even with the final. NCIS: LA (2.9/8, 14.7 million) was up a tenth, while Unforgettable (2.0/6, 10.4 million) was down a tenth.
ABC’s Dancing With The Stars recap (1.9/6, 10.4 million) was down 32% in the demo from the first recap episode last spring. The season premiere of the Dancing result show (3.0/8, 15.3 million) was down 30% from last year. But it provided a great lead-in to Body Of Proof (2.1/6, 10 million), which shot up 50% from its most recent original and posted a season high in total viewers. Body Of Proof also is running ahead of CBS’ Unforgettable as the top program at 10 PM among adults 18-49, but it will likely be adjusted down in the finals due to a Dancing overrun and should finish tied with the CBS drama.
NBC’s The Biggest Loser (1.9/5) was down 17% from last week to a series low. After an uptick last week, Fashion Star (1.5/4) was down 17% against all-original competition. Fox’s two-hour comedy block continues to struggle: Raising Hope (1.5/5) fell a tenth from last week to a new season low; New Girl (2.5/7) dropped 7% to a new series low; while Breaking In (1.4/4) bucked the trend, up a tenth from last week but still the lowest-rated show in the block. The CW’s 90210 and Ringer held steady.
